Narrative 2

Introduction

The Narrative 2 unit asks seniors to answer the question, “How well can you apply advanced narrative techniques to build a compelling story?” Students use storytelling techniques and create surreal imagery to build new worlds. Students deepen technical skills through using adobe applications such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and ProTools.

In English, we developed and wrote a narrative treatment of our choice. We worked on character develop and slide decks to present our work professionally. My group created a story for a movie. Here is some of the slides we created.

In Digital Media we make a surreal composition using Photoshop, Multilayered 3D Art using Illustrator, and 3D Digital Videos using After Effects. When building our website we also learn new techniques when using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. We made light boxes that we designed in Illustrator and printed our final products.

Final Product

In Film, we developed a narrative film using pre-production, production, and post-production. During pre-production, we wrote 10-page screenplays, participated in table reads, lined scripts, and storyboarded. During production, we recruited actors and furthered our camera skills. In post-production, we editing clips, worked out transitions, and color graded, to make the best final result possible.
