About this Podcast:

“Humans: Good or Evil?,” by Elli Lahdemsaki and I, is about diving into the question of if humans are born evil or good. We roamed the streets of San Francisco and asked random strangers this question, and got a variety of answers. Then, we tried to strengthen the argument of humans being born good, by researching and using past events to support this claim.

Introduction:

Our English class asked us to create a podcast about anything we wanted. At first, I was conflicted, because I realized I had to make a decision on what I wanted it to be about. We decided that we definitely wanted to go out and ask strangers a question, but we didn’t know what to ask. We thought deeply about an important but controversial topic, and we realized that asking if humans are born evil or good was perfect. This project gave me a lot of time to explore different topics and find one I was passionate about, along with a lot of research. It allowed me to be creative and dig deeper into my podcast. My inspiration for this project was a Youtuber, Thoraya Maronesy. Most of her videos are mainly her going out and asking strangers very meaningful questions.

Reflection:

I valued this project a lot! I loved how general the project was in a way that it allowed everyone to pick something they were truly interested in and passionate about. I also became more familiar in ProTools, and learned more about the production of creating a podcast. One challenge we faced was going up to strangers. It definitely was a little scary, especially with such a hard question, but many responded well and were happy to answer. After this project, I realized how fun it was to create podcasts!
