Apartments on the Thames

In the strictest sense of the word, London is not my hometown since I wasn’t born there. I was actually born in Tel Aviv, Israel. However, I’ve spent every summer of my life in London. So many crucial childhood memories of mine happened in London, whether it be in my grandmother’s flat or my auntie’s back yard. When I think of my childhood and where I grew up, I think of London. I think of my family. In London, you’re able to take a boat down the Thames river to get across the city, and it just so happens that my grandmother’s flat is very close to one of the stops, over on Putney Bridge. I took this photo this summer, while on one of those boats. I remember myself getting lost in the beautiful glistening buildings along the river bank and it’s a sight I wanted to remember. I hope to live in London eventually, whether it be for a gap year, for school or a permanent place to be. Who knows, maybe one day it will become my hometown in every sense of the word.
