introduction
I learned a lot about the various humor techniques used on a daily basis while working on this project. The purpose of this unit was to aid students in understanding and analyzing various aspects of humor. After looking at examples of comedians and individuals using these techniques, we put our skills to use by making a humorous video using the methods we had learned in class. Then, we had to describe our sources of inspiration and the reasons behind our decision to work on this humor project. Overall, this project was a lot of fun and the idea generation process was fascinating. Because it gives us the chance to be creative and produce an amazing project, I think it’s crucial for students to have this project.

Comedic Influences
Our first comedic influence was The Office. We really liked the filming style with the kind of shaky camera that follows the characters around. We also really enjoyed the wit and sarcasm that The Office has. Our second comedic influence was reality tv. We wanted to replicate the drama that unfold. We loved the absurd humor and the caricature all shows have. Overall this project was super fun to do. It was hard at first to come up with a cohesive idea but once we got it everything just fell into place.
