To visually represent one of the seven deadly sins, I chose to portray the sin of gluttony, commonly recognized as the consumption of unhealthy foods to a shameful extent. As I walked past the aisle of my local supermarket, which was ironically stacked with loads of flavorful chips, candies, high-calorie foods, and liquor, I couldn’t help but recognized the gluttony encouraged. I immediately pulled out my camera for an unpleasant yet realistic photo of the temptations we face on a daily basis. It makes me reflect on how prone our world is to falling into unhealthy habits and “sinful” ways, partially encouraged by accessibility and the destructive nature of our economy.
