I found this heavy log that resides in a nearby neighborhood captivating, as it is one big piece of wood surrounded by smaller, lighter leaves and wood chips. It is so thick and weighs down plenty of the dead plants underneath it. It felt a little out of place on the ground because it contains more mass than all of the nature around it, which I found intriguing.
