Photographing a stranger means capturing their story in just one photo which honestly felt a little intimidating at first. Last week I went to Miku Expo and it was such a fun experience seeing all the cosplayers. Since my documentary is about cosplay culture I was really drawn to a group I came across, including someone dressed as Mikuo who was giving out Hatsune Miku stamps to people. I asked if I could take their photo and they said yes which made me really happy. Even though they were a complete stranger their energy and creativity told such a cool story on their own.
