Conceptual Project Introduction
The conceptual project was mainly about learning the basics of many different softwares like photoshop as well as learning to use different types of media such as cameras.
In this unit I learned a lot of valuable information that will definitely help me in the future. In animation, I learned the 12 animation principles which greatly improved the way I animated my animations. In digital media I learned things such as Photoshop, Pro Tools and Premiere Pro which allowed me to become better at photo and video editing.
Free Verse Poem
The poetry project taught me about photo editing and being able to write a good poem. My poem is themed as a free verse, which is a poem with no rules or a need for rhymes, but telling a story or a message in a poetic form. My poem is titled Breaking My Only Pencil, which is about the speaker breaking their arm.
Photo Haiku & Video
The Photo Haiku was an English Project as well as a Digital Media Project. In English we learned how to create Haikus and then in Digital Media we recorded our voice reading the speech as well as editing the video to make it more appealing.
Elements & Principles of Art
The Elements and Principles of Art was a Unit teaching us about the Elements and Principles of Art. We created a presentation to show what we have learned from the unit.
Zoetrope
The Zoetrope is a machine which created an animation when you stared through the holes of the Zoetrope. It was an ancient method of creating animations which is what I have made here.
Exquisite Corpse
The Exquisite Corpse was a class project where all of us drew out several frames and combined the animations we created together in order to create a big animation.
Flip Book Video
The Flip Book Project was a project that took 96 frames in order to show an animation. The flip book is a style of animation where you flip the book at a rapid pace in order to create a fast animation.
Direct Techniques
The Direct Techniques Project consisted of 2 animations where we used 2 completely different styles of animations using the animation principles we have learned.
Phenakistoscope
The Phenakistoscope was another old form of animation where you put the image to the left on a stick and spin it, causing it to show an animation or a “moving image”.
