Explorations

Introduction

How can you find, explore, and/or expand your passion?

For our Explorations project, we were told to create a project based on something we wanted to explore upon. I had decided to explore about creating animated fight scenes. This skill that I wanted to explore on was important because currently anime and video games are very popular. Having an understanding of this will help make my future skills in life better.

The intensity in the fight is real…

Process of Animation Creation

This was the early stages of my fight scene, where I just introduced 2 characters into a very intense scene leading into a fight scene. There is no context of why they started fighting, but later on I had decided on an ending.

Later on I just decided to make the character stop time. Stopping time is a reference from Jojo’s bizarre adventure, an anime that I have enjoyed watching. The 4 arms in the picture is showing very fast rounds of punching.

This scene is right after the time stop where the other character gets punched back after the time stop has ended. The reason the time stop stopped is because there is a time limit on how much time this character can stop.

The other character being punched back powers up. This is a reference to Dragon ball, where the character such as Goku goes into Super Saiyan. The blue rotating ball is a Naruto reference, using an attack known as the rasengan.

The end was finally decided where I had decided on a twist. After such an intense fight, I would add a little humor to it by a Pokemon catching the human. Basically “Reverse Pokemon”. Then I had finalized on the title, “Pokéman”.
