This is my illustration based off of my short story. I used a lot of imagery and symbols to represent my character from my story. I drew this in Illustrator. Please Enjoy :D. Click the thumbnail below to see a bigger version of my illustration.

Domination

My illustration represents the tension between two powerful cats of the wilderness. As these cats portray tension, they also represent the two people in my narrative story. The two are sisters, and they are unlike in every way. One, has more authority, and claims all the attention for herself. She leaves her other sister with nothing but low self-esteem and disappointment from their parents. These two mighty cats have different characteristics, like sisters do, yet they belong in the same family of big cats.
To show the difference and agitation between the sisters, the more dominant feline is situated on top of a cage, with the smaller cat inside. Incorporating typography in here, the cage is made of phrases and sentences about both cats. The lynx inside is locked up by the high standards the tiger has set. The lynx is unable to be superior to the tiger. The two sisters are seen here metaphorically in a relationship of dominance and submission.
