This is one of my favorite websites of all time. Most of its content is comprised of articles about videogaming. Some of the main features are Zero Punctuation, a hilarious weekly review made by Yahtzee Crosshaw. Another is Escape to the Moviews, where the most recent blockbusters are reviewed. The biggest attraction for me, however, is Extra Credits. Extra Credits is basically videogame commentary, except much broader than traditional reviewers and such go. At the same time, it is much more in-depth and detailed, and the 3 members of Extra Credits have all had much experience in the actual videogame industry, and they are really knowledgable in their fields. What matters about the Escapist is not the quantity of things that they have (which is already huge) but the quality - It has, without a doubt, the most intellectual commentary and editorials about the entertainment industry. There's also a bunch of really old-school gamers on this website. One other main feature is called I Hit It With My Axe. This is a video series about a group of very odd people playing Dungeons and Dragons together. There's a whole bunch of hilarious, entertaining, and informative posts, journals, articles, videos, and forums on this webside. If you're into gaming and want to learn more about how they're made and the people behind the gaming industry, you really need to visit this site. What are you waiting for? Visit it!

http://youtube.com

This is a really awesome website. If there's any new video on the internet, or any video that your friends were talking about, it's definitely on Youtube. There are other video sharing websites out there, but none of them are quite like Youtube. The sheer size and amount of content in it is astounding. I always go on it to check out movie trailers, videos that my friends send me, and even to listen to music that people upload. That's the real genius behind Youtube - There can be almost anything on it. Although I don't really upload anything onto Youtube, I know many people that do, and it's extremely useful both for uploading personal videos that you want to share, or even for school projects. It's an all-around useful website.

http://facebook.com

This is one of my favorite websites because it connects me with all my friends even when I'm at home. I've learned a lot about my friends that I didn't know before and even met some new people online through Facebook, and the whole concept appeals to me because it's a network made by regular people, for regular people. Everyone can share thoughts, events, and photos through this service and it's really awesome. I haven't used it much before, but recently I've been making more friends and since I don't have as much time at school to connect with my friends anymore. With Facebook, I can spend more time at home talking with my friends without having to make room in my work schedule. It's a win-win situation, and thanks to Facebook I have much better relations with a lot of my friends.

http://howstuffworks.com

This website is great. Whenever I want to know how something works, I just head on over to this site. When my dad was working on his car, I sometimes got interested in the parts that he had to fix. To find out what they all did, all I had to do was go to How Stuff Works. There's a huge library of stuff in this site, and if you want to know how anything works, the internal mechanisms of any tool or engine or gadget, it's probably on this site. If you visit this website often, you'll gain a very intricate volume of knowledge that you can talk to other people about, and I've already had some pretty interesting discussions with others using the information from this website.

http://ocremix.org

This website is awesome. It's really great for finding video game music remixes. The community that runs it is really great, and extremely dedicated, with people creating music from all over the world and sending them to the website. The thing that makes them really incredible is that they allow their music to be downloaded for free. The only way they make money is by selling albums. And even the music in their albums are downloadable from their website. But all of this wouldn't amount to much without real music, would it? Thankfully, the remixes are top notch, and the originality and real emotion behind each of the pieces are evident. These are not merely songs that someone slapped together in a few minutes - They were worked on and perfected, and many of their songs could compete with today's mainstream music of the same genres. A great site overall.

What is there to say about Google? It's awesome. This website is probably the most useful thing ever, and it's my homepage on my home PC. If you need to find anything at all, you can get it by googling it. Any website, any subject, anything can be found through Google. It even has a built-in translator, calculator, and encyclopedia. Google is incredibly useful, incredibly user-friendly, incredibly easy to use, incredibly slick, smooth, aesthetically pleasing, and just all around incredible. Best website ever? I think so. So do many others, and the millions upon millions that Google has made also thinks so.

http://newgrounds.com

NEWGROUNDS! Everything, by everyone! The slogan says it all. Any and all hilarious, epic, awesome, stupid, beautiful, weird flash animations go here. Almost every upcoming flash animator has posted here, and it's created an incredible community within its forum. Many funny internet jokes have been created, many fantastic animations have been submitted, and many animators have gained instant internet superstardom on this website. If there is another website like Newgrounds out there, I haven't heard of it. Newgrounds is the single go-to website for flash animations. It started out as a tiny animating website for artists to show off their work, and as the larger public became aware of the movies and their value, it exploded in popularity and now hosts gigabites upon gigabites of animations.
