Colour Theory This photo blog was all about colour theory, and I thought it would be fitting to take a picture of nature, specifically this red leaved branch among mostly green leaves. I did do some touch ups in photoshop to bring out the red more and I really love how it turned out. I feel like it represents something new, aka the new year.
New Year Light In full honesty, this one was very last second. My siblings had set up a projector in my sisters room and they were watching Gravity Falls. I decided to use my camera to take a picture of the projector moving but everything else staying still. I definitely would have done something more unique but we did not really do much to celebrate new years with bright colours.
Gratitude was this week’s theme and I took pictures of my grandpa and my sister together. I feel like family and friends are the most important thing to be grateful for.
This weeks theme was to utilize rule of thirds. I decided to edit a picture I took of my cousin so that they are in the bottom left corner, creating emphasis on the juice pouch and the focused/sad expression of my cousin.
This week’s topic/theme was to take a picture of something colourful and then turn it black and white. I decided to take a picture of my little cousin outside. I feel like the world in the view of a kid is way brighter than one of an adult or even a teenager. This is why I decided to convert this image to black and white.
I know I know, this post is supposed to be about someone who “inspires” me, and some may argue a dog can’t inspire me. But you would be wrong. Bean, my puppy, has been with me through everything and he inspires me to keep going, he keeps me company when I am sad and has never been disappointed in me. He is a sweetheart. Human’s don’t deserve dogs.
The challenge for this photo blog was to fill the frame with one colour, I decided to fill the frame with the sky (featuring my face near the bottom). I took it into Photoshop to enhance the saturation a bit to make the colour of the sky pop even more and I really like how it turned out.
I hadn’t been trick-or-treating in over 4 years, not only due to covid but also because I felt like I was getting too old. When my friends asked me to go trick-or-treating with them I was hesitant but I decided to go. I do not regret it one bit. I haven’t had that much fun in a while, it was also my first time trick-or-treating outside of my own neighborhood and it was so cool…
As I said in the previous post, I don’t have much culture. However, one tradition is taking care of nature. My family has always been environment people, composting, recycling, picking up trash, etc. I worked a job this summer and a ladybug landed on me. The ladybug ended up sitting on me for about 15 minutes before leaving.
For this photo, I decided to take a picture of Slurpee’s I had just gotten. When I was younger, my parents would take me and my sisters for bike rides and afterwards we would all bike to 7-11 to get Slurpees, we were always banned from getting the Mountain Dew flavor, we would get Cherry and Coke.
