Welcome to my self portrait website! The theme of this website is New York City as I have the New York skyline as my background and multicolored taxi cabs as my buttons. I find big cities fascinating and full of energy-something is always going on (similar to my life)! I wanted to bring that vibrance to my website so my viewers could experience a little vacation without the travel.

To create this webpage, we used the application Dreamweaver for the main layout and constrction. We also called upon Photoshop, Garageband and Lightroom to assist us in the creation of this website. We also created rollover buttons, which in my case are taxi cabs that change color when you hover over them. The graphics were originally from Google Images, then I manipulated them in Photoshop. Some podcasts are also included on my website, which I recorded and edited in Garageband. The illustration and diptych were both created in my Design class then manipulated in Illustrator and Photoshop.

Creating this website was a difficult experience for me. Creating websites requires a different mindset than you would use in everyday life, which is challenging on top of the steep learning curve. After countless hours of composing this website, I managed to create something I'm very proud of. My website isn't perfect by all means, but it is a showcase of my knowledge learned here at the Freestyle Academy.

My Personal Poem

In our English class, we were asked to create a personal poem that was image driven. Meaning, we choose a particular event or moment in our life that makes us who we are today, while incorporating several picture painting images. In Web/Audio, we stylized the poem by giving it a unique background in Photoshop. Next, we enhanced the text by doing a voiceover (which you can listen to below).
