On this page I will post webgems I find throught my week. Webgems are any cool sites, videos, gadgets, and etc. that I find on the internet. I will write a brief summery and provide links and images foor you to look at.
12-1-10 Stumbleupon: Stumbleupon is pretty self explanatory. It is a website that I use quite offte, mainly to kill time. On the site you create a free account where you select variouse topics you like and would enjoy to read about. Once you have created your account and selected your topics you install the stumble upon toolbar to your web browser. This is the key to all the fun, because now that you have the toolbar you will see a little button that says stumble. When clicked this button will send you to a random site based on one of the topics you selected. This makes it very easy to waste a lot of time as there is no end to the sites and most of them are pretty interesting.

11-23-10 Sonos: The Sonos system is a cool system that serves music over ip to muliple rooms in your house. We have this system in our house and i have a loto of fun with it. through a network drive you acces your music library and can play in seprate rooms of your house. with this you can play the same song all over your house with no lag!, by grouping zones(rooms). you can also play separate songs in ach room. |

Flying car: Terrafugia has just released significant progress on a flying car. Now with a drives license and a basic piolit's license you can be diveing your very own Terrafugia Transition down the steet, and at any moment pull into the nearest runway and take off to a destination of your choice. This is not so much a flying car as it is a street legal air craft. The estemated price of this new vehical is closer to the air plane side at $250,000. For an air plane it is rather fuel efficient running on regular gas and getting 35mpg (as a car), burning 5gph when cruising in flight. for more specs feel free to click here.

Cool iphone case: So this is a really cool iphone case I found while looking on thinkgeek.com. This case allows you to have a full QWERTY keyboard on the iphone rather than the anoying touch keyboard. The case is rather expensive, however it is not much more than the other iphone cases on the market. Considering what this case offers I would definatly buy this to escape the massive amount of typos that come with using a touch keyboard. OLED KeyBoard: This is probaly the coolest keyboard I have ever seen! This key board is made up of individual OLED screens for each key. Making it fully customizable. Each key can be changed to show its own individual image of your choice, or even a video or moving animation. you can also project a single image across the whole key board making it like a whole other monitor. the coolest feature that this keyboard offers is the ability to program the keys to display certain images for specified programs upon them starting up. for instance, on starting up photoshop you can have the images of your tools diplayed on the keys that trigger them. The one downside is that, because OLED technology is pretty new and expensive the keyboars comes out to a whopping $1600. However over time this price will hopefully go down allowing us to see more of this keyboard in our every day life. |

The Arctic Spyder is commonly reffered to as the modern day lightsaber, as it shoots a solid blue beam at a wave length of 445nm. They also have just began the sale of there flashlight "the torch", which quicly cooks eggs and lighys balls of paper on fire. I find this fun to go to and see what new powerful product they have produced
