Food

This week, my sister and her boyfriend drove three hours home from college and three hours back on the same day for dinner with our family. So naturally, mom went all out cooking up a feast. Some of these dishes are not traditional meals in America, such as eggplant, duck, poke bowls, and homemade pickles. In this image, the aperture is F 1.6, shutter speed is 1/60, and ISO 400.

Using Props

My friends and I woke up to a beautiful view of the sunrise at the beach. I brought heart shaped glasses with a pink hue to them, so when I propped the sunglasses in front of my camera, it made the entire sunrise view look a little more magical. In the image, the aperture is F 2.2, shutter speed is 1/30, and ISO 40.

Modern Convenience

A modern convenience I can’t live without is a camera. Even creating these photoblogs requires a camera. The camera in this photo is very modern with the highest tech for film making. Over the years, films keep getting higher and higher quality. This was Behind the Scenes of my friends feature film REBEL. In this photo, the aperture is F 4.5, shutter speed is 1/64, and ISO 2,000.

Post Malone's tattoos drawn on my face.
Posty

Post Malone, a modern hip-hop/rap singer, has made news recently with his remarkable voice as a guest singer. He is coming out with new music with both Taylor Swift and Beyonce. On top of that, about a month ago, Post Malone sang at Super Bowl LVIII. If you’ve ever seen Post Malone, you know he is covered in tattoos. I drew his face tattoos on my face while biting into my money chain taking this selfie. When he came to the Bay Area, I saw him at Shoreline with my family! His voice is truly a gift. In this image, the aperture is F2.8, shutter speed is 1/60, and ISO 80.

Deadly Sins

Of the seven deadly sins, I chose this image that represents sloth. This picture of my room was taken after I had come back from vacation and when I decided I was going to rearrange my entire room so it was an absolute mess for about a week. When looking at this image, it could be seen as lazy or lack of effort to put things away. In this image, the aperture is F1.6, shutter speed is 1/60, and ISO 125.

Musical

a neighborhood view with a rainbow in the background and a street sign saying "Fleetwood Dr"
Fleetwood Mac

In this residential neighborhood, I drove past this street sign and abruptly got out of my car so I could take a photo of it. The street is named Fleetwood Dr, which makes me think of my favorite musical band, Fleetwood Mac. It was raining on this day so there is a rainbow in the left corner, which corresponds to the happiness and enlightenment their music brings to peoples souls. In this image, the aperture is F 5.6, shutter speed is 1/256, and ISO 100.

Viewpoint

On the way home from San Fransisco, I stopped for air at a lake and this is what I saw when I overlooked the bridge from a high angle point of view. In this big body of water this man sat hidden in the tall grass peacefully fishing. I’m not sure how he even got down there but I hope he made it back safe and that he caught a fish or two. In this image, the aperture is F 2.8, shutter speed 1/80, and ISO 125.

Film Noir

Toward the light

This image embodies film noir because it has a dark feel to it. There is imbalanced lighting, a light coming in from one direction bouncing off one side of the face and arm giving an accent light. The other side is dull and disappears into the darkness. The shutter speed is 1/200, aperture is F3.5, and ISO 1,000.

Small vs Large

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is elephant-guitar-1-768x1024.png

This image conveys the idea of small vs large because the stuffed elephant is playing a guitar that is three times his size. What is interesting about this is how the roles of small vs large would shift if it were a real elephant playing the guitar. In this photo, the aperture is F1.6, shutter speed 1/30, and ISO 640.

Color Theory

Using color theory, I went with a monochromatic theme. This is a cloudy sky behind trees in the Trinity Alps Mountains. This image includes the whole white to black scale, with hints of white in the clouds and black trees in the front. The aperture is F2.8, shutter speed is 1/60, and ISO 400.
