PHOTOSHOP

Also in Digital Media, we experienced with a lot of new things. It was honestly one of my favorite project works. We learned how to composite different photos together as well as using the Wacom Tablet to create digital water color and paintings. We also learned how to take our regular photos into painting style.

Photoshop Painting

This assignment was one of my favorite Digital Media assignments up to date. We got to really explore the possibilities with using a Wacom tablet. the learning of using water color and different paint brushes in Photoshop felt really real. I’ve personally experiences with real water color with real brushes and on real paper, and after trying to do it digitally. I thought it was really cool how if you make mistakes it would be easy to fix unlike real life.

I learned a lot of different Photoshop skills like having layers and drawing over a photo and making it look like a painting. Learning how to create fillers and black layers was really interesting and I think I could really use that in the future for other project or for other clients.

Multi-Layered Art Project

In this project, we were assigned to create a bunch of layers on Illustrator to show a combined photo of something that we wanted. Me and my partner, Ellie S. We wanted to create a Naruto light box. First we had to brainstorm and gather photos from online to combine and put in all on different layers.

Artist Statement

My Inspiration for the project was simply my favorite anime show, Naruto. I wanted to make something for the main character that was meaningful to me. As I went through the process of brainstorming and creating the picture in Illustrator. I realized that I needed to be more precise with my drawings. I grew by knowing how much of a perfectionist I am. In Illustrator, it was a pretty smooth ride because I had Ellie( an experienced Design student) and she helped a lot. Although in the After effects, I had a couple roadblocks that included importing the right type of file from Illustrator into the file. With some help from Mr.Flo over email and Zoom, I was able to figure out and learn new skills on importing and exporting certain files. Overall, I like how the design worked out, but I would probably focus on the little details in the lines, those were a little messy in general. I am proud that I was able to put my creativity to use. I used different aspects of photos of Naruto and combined them into a cool image. I will use the 3D skills I used in this project mainly in After Effects to make more animations in the future. This project really made me appreciate more of the talented artists out there, people work really hard to make simple things.
