Zenith

Introduction

The Zenith project is a project where students use all of the skills that they have learned at Freestyle over the past two years to create a final product. Zenith means the top peak of a mountain, which fits well with this assignment because it should be the peak of all of our projects, and the peak of all of our skills.

For my Zenith project I created a video essay and cinematography portfolio. This particular project was a passion for me because I was able to explore my interest in cinematography as well as my interest in film writing. The final product was two videos. One cinematography portfolio that was about 2 minutes long and a video essay that was about 8 minutes long.

This project is a new challenge and risk for me because I haven’t really had the chance in film to focus on cinematography yet, and it’s the reason that I switched to film this year.

This project will incorporated what I learned in Design last year by helping me compose all the shot for the cinematography portfolio. It incorporated what I learned in Film this year by helping me edit the cinematography portfolio and video essay.
