Photo Blog: Rules of Thirds Motion

On the left side of the photo there is an arm and above the arm in the air there is a waterpolo ball. The entire image is in black and white except for the ball which is a vibrant yellow.
Eyes on the Prize

This week I took an image of a water polo ball being thrown in the air.

When taking the photo I was more concentrated on the ball than anything else so in photoshop I decided to remove all of the color except for the ball. This draws the viewers attention to the object in motion, the ball.

For this photo I used an aperture of 4.5, with an ISO 1600, and a shutter speed of 30. The area I was shooting in was dark but after changing the white balance and the ISO I was able to get much better lighting.
