An animatic is a rough series of scenes for a future media production, in this case it was the first cut of our animation. As far as visuals go for our animatics, we used images from our graphic novels to show what would be going on in our animation later on. We also had to include audio and sound effects in this animatic to make it come to life. We contructed the animatic in Flash, which is the same application we used to create our animation.

When we first had to tackle making the animatic, I was pretty intimidated because we had only been working with this application for a few days and I was still feeling uneasy about the project at hand. After getting into the swing of things, I finally started to feel more comfortable with the assignment. I realized that making an animatic doesn't have to be perfect; In fact it shouldn't be perfect! It should really be more of like an outline for your future productions.
