Once upon a time there was a rock sling. It would sling rocks into the distance where it was safe. It loved the sound it made when it was winding up power for a hard throw. Even more satisfying was the sound produced when the rock slammed into whatever object it was thrown at. Eventually, one day it aimed wrong and hit someone in the back of the head. From then on, it was limited to only slinging pine cones. The end.

Loosely based on a true story. As of today, my sling sits peacefully in my bedroom cabinet, unable to do any damage, recalling it’s brief time in action.
