For our Narrative in Digital Media, our project was to make a multi-layer project of something that represents our world-building project. So I decided to make mine on Political Polarization. Here is the process:

For this project, I was inspired by my world building project to visually display Political polarization. When I was thinking about the project I mainly thought about how polarization means separate but it also kind of means together because yes people are increasingly being polarized but it is a human issue which applies to all of us, so I wanted to make something that was separate but equal. I used the common animal symbols of the two parties to make the groups recognizable so that anyone would be able to understand what I am getting at but used abstract shapes such as the spiky circles and ovals to make it a little up for interpretation. This project was cool because I got to create something digitally that would be printed on wood. The beginning parts of the project are very futuristic but the fact that it gets to be printed on wood gives it also an old timey feel which I like. I will definitely try and replicate this project again.
