The prompt for this assignment was to “capture a reflection.” Some examples were provided for us, most including pictures of reflections on water, like that of a mountain range on a lake. However, I wanted to try something different. I looked around my house for a bit, and eventually noticed that my TV screen was fairly reflective and had and interesting gray-white light source bouncing off of it, stemming from the overcast environment outside. I took some experimental photos, and adjusted my camera settings accordingly until I got this one. I then edited it a little bit in Adobe Photoshop, cropping it and adding a screen layer to lighten the photo. I like the way it turned out, especially the way that plant leaves form beautiful jagged shapes and the silver-ish light bounces off of the objects in the photo.
