With the rain in California this year, the flowers that my family planted in the backyard have been doing well. This particular flower was especially hard to get a photo of, as it is in the shade and the lighting in that area is generally mixed. Playing around with the exposure, I ended up adding a layer to lighten the photo, as it came out dark and underexposed. I also utilized aperture to make sure only the main flower was in focus so the other flowers were not taking away from it.
