Introduction
For my Junior Documentary project, I was challenged to portray an intriguing person, group, place or issue, within our own community. For me, I decided to look no further than my own household to find someone that is directly impacting my community every day.
The subject I decided to focus on for this project is my lovely father, Vahe Baronian. My father has always been a huge inspiration to me which is why this project was very easy to generate. For this documentary I took a deep dive into my fathers life before I was born to see some of his motivations. Vahe Baronian is an immigrant that grew up in Tehran, Iran as one of seven children under the same roof. As a child Baronian remembered his mothers wonderful meals and playing soccer with his friends. By the time Vahe turned 18 he was forced to leave home due to the Iranian revolution. Vahe now works as a real estate agent in the bay area helping immigrants like him find a place they can call home.
Profile Article
In English I created a profile article for my subject composed of both a personal interview and multiple outside sources. In the article I highlight Vahe’s struggles coming to America and the irony of being a displaced immigrant to finding others find homes in the real estate business.
Elective Class Production
In Design class we were tasked to make a advertisement that had to do with our profile subject. In my case that meant making a real estate advertisement for my father. I chose to advertise his real estate business
