Web/Audio

In web we made this which you are currently viewing as well as some other fun creations. As I said before on the homepage, this site is a PHP file instead of our usual HTML sites. So right off the bat it was a new game we were playing. Small tid-bits of the site like the div layouts, the contact page and the viewer counter at the bottom are a result of PHP scripting and XML implementation. It sounds fancy because it really is. Confusing too. However, what it costing you in simplification, you gain in versatility. PHP, like I said before is incredibly powerful and useful in web design so much so that it kind of puts regular HTML to shame at so things.

In addition to this site, we made our animation for this unit. A lot of my time in Web this unit was spent working on this animation and all of the keyframing, rendering, stress, tears and blood that went into it. However, it looks pretty darn good as a result. Made with a bunch of programs all assembled by Adobe After Effects, this was by far our biggest venture into digital media creation since we first learned to use Dreamweaver Junior year. It wasn’t easy, but it was pretty fun in hindsight. My animation has a lot of the same design features as this sight to give this whole unit a sort of theme to follow and has a lot of very simple animations that in reality took hours to try to get to work. After Effects is misleadingly simple like that. But I’ll just let you watch the animation for yourself.
