Surreal Composition
AI Takeover
In English, we were asked to research a political issue that concerned us. I researched the rise of AI, putting artistic careers such as producing graphic designs and creations at risk. My image is a person who appears to be drawing a robot. The inspiration behind this came from the concern that AI affects the graphic design industry. I used a bland white cityscape background to create a fearful effect. I also added a texture to the background to add to the feeling. The idea of AI taking over the industry is intimidating, but at the same time, it could benefit it.
Through this project, I could practice my surrealism skills and learn new skills in Photoshop to add to the effect. I tried out a displacement map for the first time with this project, and it worked out better than expected. Being able to incorporate new skills into every project I create is something that has benefited me more and more in my artistic career.
