I’ve wanted to make Jewellery for a long time, and Zenith gave me the chance to make that dream come true. My project’s inspiration came mostly from my ideas of wanting a unique and organic piece of jewellery to wear, but never quite finding what I liked in the stores. I spent hours scrolling on Pinterest and watching YouTube videos for ideas, but I ended up just freehanding all my pieces, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Reflection
At one point in the process, I felt like giving up when my pieces started melting and breaking. But I didn’t lose hope, and my pieces came out of the kiln okay. My main problem was my pieces being too thin, which resulted in them breaking, whether metal or not. This was the case with my test fire piece, which kept snapping the longer I put it in the kiln. Through this, I also got a lesson in time management thrown in my face. I finally finished all my pieces the day the project was due, but I still had hours of polishing. Overall, this project taught me a lot of lessons, but I enjoyed almost every part of the process.
