The purpose behind this illustration was to represent my best and worst characteristics with a single idea. I wanted to express my passion for computers, but also the negative impact of of losing touch with reality.

In the illustration, I wanted to represent my best characteristic, my passion for computers, by drawing myself merged together with computer parts. I added my face in the center to give a more human appearance, while making my body out of computer parts to show how the computer can control my life. My worst characteristic, was that I can easily get out of touch with reality when I am working on projects. When I am in this "zone" I tend to ignore my family and friends. In the illustration, I am creating a force feild around myself that is blocking anything part of my life that is not related to the computer or my projects.

After I drew the entire picture in Photoshop, I then brought it into Illustrator to create it into a vectorg graphic. I did this so I could achieve a bolder and sharper look. Overall, the process of creating this piece was quite educational, because it strengthened my Photoshop and Illustrator skills. In addition I got the chance to practice using a Wacom® tablet.
