In all honesty, I know absolutely nothing about sports and have never found joy in them. I took this photograph of a kids soccer game that I stumbled across at the park, and the most I understood was that the ball is meant to go into the goal. However, while I stood there for a good few minutes trying to take a photo I liked, I started to root for the kids and pay closer attention to the strategies they were using. I’d never stopped to pay attention to sports games like that before, so it was an interesting experience for me. I won’t say that the experience made me start enjoying sports, but I now understand why other people do. I might even pay closer attention to sports in the future.
