Introduction

Explorations gave me a chance to test the freedom to self-direct a project in order to develop my “21st Century” skills. Photography has always been a joyous activity for me but I wanted to take that up one notch, and give it an unexpected twist with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator with photo layering and more. I also wanted to dive into Portrait Photography as people are far more mysterious and daring than picturing a Landscape.

Process

I found two models willing to be photographed for this project, and began brainstorming from there. Finding my inspiration can always be found on Pinterest, so I began looking there. After creating a board to designate my own original visions, I roughly sketched my ideas on paper of how I wanted my images to look as I brought them to life.

Final Productions

After having two photoshoots, I found my favorite photos and finalized them on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

InfoGraphic + Presentation

In addition to incorporating Adobe applications to my project, I also compared Iphone camera to a dSLR camera to integrate the 21st century theme. Because Iphones have the ability to take such prodigious photos, many have lost the interest in manual photography using a dSLR camera. Researching this was very intriguing to do, as the argument of creativity being lost seemed to be a big overlying theme.

Reflection

Thus far, this project has been my favorite to complete at Freestyle. Although we are distanced and living amongst radical times, this project allowed for me to resort to the tranquility of creating art. I feel prepared to rejoice next year and feel extremely grateful to have been a part of Freestyle for the past year.
