angle

From this angle of the park it looks like the trees are framing a novel book scene. The composition is focused on the people walking along the park and the shadows allow for contrast against the bright sky. All together displaying a beautiful park.

Stranger

At Cuesta Park there was a woman enjoying her day watching people pass by. She wore a green and red saree, with a calm expression, relaxed shoulders towards me. She didn’t need a phone to entertain her, nature was enough on that Tuesday morning f6.3 ISO100 1/195 50mm

Rule of Odds

The rule of odds is that a picture looks more balanced is there’s an odd number of subjects. This strategy is common in food ads, graphic design, and…architecture! I always get fascinated when I observe different graphic design strategies in buildings and how the details add to the feel of a building seamlessly.

serenity

One of my simple pleasures is perfume, I enjoy attaching scents to memories and discovering new sensations. While I do buy lots of sample sets, I obviously don’t like every scent. Golden Hour

Golden hour is a special time in my backyard, this plant is called a bird of paradise. It’s big leaves are to capture light and maximize it’s potential for growth in typically tropical environments. It captures the light beautifully, making quite the sight to see from the kitchen.

circles

As I approach the new year, I think about all the things I’ve come to love after hating when I was a kid. As shown in the picture, I used to hate Diet Coke and all carbonated drinks. I thought it was the most disgusting thing humanity has made, yet as my palette matured, so …

water

I remember the first time my mom knew I had allergies and needed bottled water for my sinus rinse, she bought so much water in bulk. It felt like we were about to enter an apocalypse. It’s always funny going in the garage and seeing the piles of water bottles awaiting for use.

Symmetric Holiday

This holiday season my mom has gifted me a polar bear pop socket. She said the texture reminded her of my childhood stuffed animals and that the cute bow made the bear quite gentlemanly. She told me “if this little bear were on your phone every day, maybe he’d be a new talisman”. That made …
