    Future

This photo is a production photo from the show I was a part of called Little Shop of Horrors. This production was a part of Upstage Theater, which is a teen-run theatre company. The actors, Aidan and Aeryn, are younger than me, and they are the future of Upstage and other community theatre productions in the Bay Area. Although I won’t be in the area to participate in these productions, I’m excited to come back and see how they grow as actors.

    Food

When I traveled to France during Spring Break, on my last full day, I stopped by a wonderful restaurant while I was shopping down Rue de Rivoli. It was called La CoopĂ©rative, and it was one of the best meals I had during the entire trip. The pasta wasn’t your ordinary pasta with tomato sauce. It had mozzarella and parmesan, with a bit of pesto sauce. I also had it with a coffee milkshake, and I took note of the name of the restaurant for when I go back in the future.

    Current Events

Global warming has been a large issue, especially in recent years. As more time passes, we are reaching the point where the planet is slowly becoming an unlivable environment that is harmful to all organisms on Earth. When I am at school, I can see the cloudy sky from far away. (I didn’t mean to capture the bird, but it seems fitting that the blurry bird can represent how pollution is slowly killing all living beings, if I wanted to be poetic).

    Musical

I love driving around with my friends, because it’s a place where we can catch up, blast music, and roll down the windows. It’s a stress reliever, and a time to bond with my friends. Driving around with my friends is where I can let loose and connect with people, through our conversations and the music. There’s countless times where I’ve discovered new music and created conversation with people through new discoveries of Spotify playlists.

    Work

This is a photo of me and Jamie filming for Jamie and Chloe’s film project. I’m upside down in a trash can, being Chloe’s test dummy as a dead body. That day, we spent hours filming shots, evening having some people climb into the dumpster. It took a lot of teamwork to get every shot.

    The Elements

I wanted to get a photo of different colors, and I knew that the fall leaves would be a pretty contrast against the dark green. Gold and the right shade of dark green is a color combination that brings me so much joy, and something about those colors combined with nature brings me a sense of comfort.

    Gratitude

This is my pride and joy, my potato collection. I do want to clarify that I have a potato keychain, however, it did not make it into the family photo, but I do still love it. I’m incredibly grateful for something as mundane as this, because I received some of these items from friends, who mean the world to me. The slippers were gifted from Cedric, and the bath mat is from Noor, two of my friends who I have known since 4th grade. The potato dressed as a cow is bought by myself, however, I got it when I first met my friend who I met from NYU New…

    Who Inspires You

My friend Simran recently got a local job, slowly but surely starting her journey towards independence and adulthood. I’ve known her since elementary school, and it’s crazy to see how we’re now both 18. Her dedication to become more independent is something that I look up to, and I admire her hard work.

    Your Habits

Everyone will tell you that a good habit to develop is to make your bed every morning. While this isn’t a habit that I have adopted permanently, one day, I made my bed and it felt nice to go to sleep in a clean slate. It’s something that I hope to integrate into my daily routine.
