As Winter slowly comes to an end, the flowers of Spring slowly begin to come out of their buds into a cold world warming up as the days pass on and on. This growth, from a sealed bud, to a blossoming rose, helps express a new kind of beginning in a new year (that is 2022). Using darkening techniques, I was able to make the blurred green leaves surrounding this bud more their respective color, repeated with the budding rose itself, as you notice the magenta-red popping out more within the photo.
