Warmth

This weeks category was story telling. For the objective, we were told to tell a story that makes us feel warm inside. Here I took a photo of the red fire hydrant where my friend group and I hang out as well as tell the story of the first time they saw me have an anxiety attack. And how they comforted me and helped me feel okay.
Old spiderwebbed fire hydrant with lots of memories

This weeks category was to do a story which warms the heart. For me a story I think of is when I moved here freshman year and having my new friends see me have an anxiety attack for the first time. I have them pretty frequently, but they had never seen me like that before. I was sitting on the red fire hydrant away from everyone sitting down and starting to hyperventilate as well as experience dizziness. When they noticed each one of them got up, came over to me and grabbed my hand or put a hand on my shoulder and gave a little squeeze. Where I went to school before Mountain View I was yelled at or ignored when I was having a hard time breathing, so having all of them be there to let me know I wasn’t alone helped me feel less alone and less embarrassed about my anxiety.
