Flower Photos

This is a photo of a rose in my garden. To get the rich colors, I shot the picture in Canon’s RAW format, which allowed me to deepen the color profile when I brought it into my editor, helping me to bring in more vibrancy and shadows to an otherwise flat image.

Shadow Photography

This is a photo of my brother dressed up as Santa Claus. To give him a shadowy look, and make it seem like he was moving very fast, I set the shutter speed to a really low value of 1.6 seconds, and had him walk around to get the faint silhouette.

Sunset Photography

This is a photo of the sunset at Morro bay. To bring out the colors more in the shot, I set the white balance to a low kelvin number to highlight the orange hues. Then, in post-production, I overlayed the photo, and painted a layer over the sunset area to create an even bigger contrast …
