Research Paper
The second quarter of the year in English was focused on writing a research paper on a current event of our choice. I chose the topic of the Philippines’ current president. There is controversy surrounding his candidacy because his father was the previous dictator of the country. I never finished it,
Surreal Composition Project
In Digital Media, we made surreal art in Photoshop based on our research papers. I think I got it mixed up and thought that it had to relate to our world building (the next major project in English).

At the time my group had planned on making a story set on oil rigs, so I thought this would be a cool visual for that. It’s still cool, but it doesn’t have much to do with the research paper or world building… You can find more about it in the Digital Media section of my Narrative 2 page, though!

I did struggle a lot writing my research paper because of the censorship issue (and because it’s all in a foreign country), but overall I’m glad I got to learn more about it. And I’m also happy with how the visual aspect turned out. It was my first attempt at something similar to a collage, and it was more fun than I thought!
