For the prompt of Serenity I chose what makes me feel most at peace. And what peace means to me is doing crafts like knitting and being in my bed where I feel calmest. I captured the knitting project that I’m working on right now in my bed to show how I feel the most calm knitting. I also think that the texture that is in the photo shows how fluffy and you can almost feel the project.

For the prompt of eyes I photographed my dogs eyes. Looking above the camera, I was holding a treat so he could look in the middle. Those are the eyes of a dog wanting to get his favorite treats, waiting ever so patiently. The light helps create more depth in his eyes, allowing me to get more details. It was difficult at times to get the photo because he kept on wanting to move around and get the treat due to him running out of patience waiting for the treat.

f/3.2, ISO 3200, 1/20, 50 mm For this prompt of water we were tasked to creatively take a picture of water. The way I creatively took a picture of water was using its reflection. The reflection in the water makes it looks like there is one big mirror on the ground. This is due to the water not moving and it being dark out letting the lights of the flower really stand out in the water. I’m really happy with how I captured this photo and can’t wait to look back on the photo in the future to remind myself of the day I took it.

f/3.5, ISO 1250, 1/320, 50 mm Using white balance to creatively take a photo, I used the car window frame to draw peoples eyes to the things in it like the business sign. I then used a different white balance to change the mood of the photo. At the time of taking this photo my friend and I were talking about how gloomy it was that day and how it was giving the same vibes as the scenery from Twighlight. So to really lean into that theme I changed the white balance so the photo looks more blue then in real life.

f/3.5, ISO 500, 1/320, 50 mm We were tasked to take a photo of something that had visual mass. When first looking at the prompt I was unsure of how I would be able to show visual mass in a photo. But while I was sitting in my friends car, I saw a USPS truck and felt that it stood out against all of the other cars. So with centering the USPS truck in the middle to really draw your eyes to it I felt that it held a lot of visual weight to it.
