Before we created our animations from scratch, we took the graphic novels that we had made in English last quarter and scanned them into the computer. We then proceeded to animate those and turn them into what is known as an animatic. Because an animation takes a lot of work to make, it would be horrible to go through all the work of making one only to find out the concept doens't work very well. That's why we make animatics, to serve as a rough draft for our animation!
