In Design, we were given the assignment of creating an illustration using Adobe Illustrator. This assignment involved using the infamous pen tool for the majority of the work, creating everything by hand. We drew the pictures digitally using a Wacom tablet, which was a really cool tool to use. We were also tasked to incorporate typography into our illustration in a creative way. However, I was not aware of this fact until right before the illustration was due to be turned in, and as a result, by illustration does not feature much typography. Regardless of this fact, I feel that I did a good job on my illustration, a definite improvement from the one I created last unit.

For my illustration, I drew a dinosaur standing at an intersection. The story that goes behind this is that people don't typically pay attention to their surroundings, and as a result many people are not often aware of something extroardinary happening so close to them. In this case, a dinosaur is sitting at a red light, while another car waits behind them. For those who pay attention, the moral of this illustration, the license plate says "P4Y ATTN", aka Pay Attention, in order to help portray its meaning. Similarly, the car is also in the wrong lane, something that only the most attentive people would catch. I feel that I did a good job on this illustration, since it has a nice meaning, and the art also turned out well. It certainly isn't perfect, but it's a step up from my previous illustration in terms of quality. As such, I am proud of it.
