Photo Blog #9: White Balance

Pictures of our family dogs.

For this assignment we were supposed to use white balance to make a creative photo that isn’t necessarily color accurate. When using the “shade” white balance setting I noticed that the picture looked drastically warmer, so I went with that. As you can see I was holding my dog’s chew bone up in front of the camera just to add some interest and depth of field. Afterwards in PhotoShop I used aggressive color grading to make the shadows bluer, which creates a neat effect.
