A few weeks ago I was at one of my friends, Sofi’s house to hang out. It was my first time going to her house so I did not know what to expect. The first thing that struck my attention were the instruments displayed on a coffee table next to the couch. One was a ukulele, while the other was an interesting instrument I was not familiar with. It looked intriguing so I began picking at the metal bars with my thumb, and somehow it made a very calm soothing rhythm of music that vibrated through my hands. I was very amazed. Sofi saw how much I was in awe of the instrument so the next time I came to her house, she gifted me with a present… my own Kalimba, which is the name of the instrument. I’ve always loved musical things and experimenting with new instruments so I was very excited and grateful. Thank you Sofi!
