This is a drawing I did in my drawing class in Sophomore year of Brooke Allen, a co-illustrator/author of the Lumberjanes graphic novel. He illustrated the first two books in the series and has illustrated some of the book covers. Lumberjanes is the first book I ever read with openly queer characters, including lesbian, transgender, and nonbinary characters. It is the book that unlocked a whole new part of myself. I love Allen’s illustrations and how his art style has stuck with me, since he illustrated the first two books.
