When thinking of the word exit many things infiltrate your mind. A new accomplishment, a sad goodbye, a different opportunity, the unknown. I wanted to portray the feeling of exiting conceptually, with something that can be interpreted differently by each viewer: an eye. My subject’s eye can appear to be laughing, grinning, crying, fearful, etc. Much like goodbyes, the eyes are layered with complex emotions and bittersweet undertones.
