650 Academy – This is my group’s Humor Project for English. We decided to put a spin on the traditional “gangster rap” and mix it with the Mountain View lifestyle. Shoutout to DJ Flo for helping us produce this amazing soundtrack.
The script and lyrics took us the longest to complete, we wanted to have insane flow and rap about the 650 at the same time. In order to complete this we had to come up with insane lyrics about Mountain View and they turned out amazing.
This is the Adobe Audition Screenshot of our workspace. We had to come up with some adlibs for our song and sound effects. This part was super fun as we took inspiration from other rappers we listen to like Playboi Carti who is infamous for his adlibs.
This is the screenshot of our music video in Premiere Pro. Shooting and editing the video took around 1 full day and was worth every minute. We drove around Mountain View to iconic locations that we love.
