gift stories

1/80 f5.6 ISO2000

For this week’s photo blog, we were meant to tell the story of a gift. I saw this toy lying in the street and it reminded me of this prompt. The toy looks very loved, perhaps a gift to a child, but it’s dirty and lost. I loved the way it’s expression reflected these things as well. I also purposely took a photo in this lighting to further the feeling of being lost. The dark feels easy to get lost in, and the lighting from the street was a little reddish and eerie. Overall I’m quite happy with this photo, and I love thinking about the real story behind it.
