This week, the only restraint we had was that we couldn’t edit our photo – we had to post what came out of our camera. I loved the freedom this gave me, as well as the challenge of getting it right in the moment, knowing you can’t go back and change it. This is another photo I took in Japan – I loved the aesthetic of this little old slightly cramped bar. I think the figures have a lot of character, and the lighting is a little ominous but also cozy at the same time. The grainy effect from the high ISO as well as the orange lighting also gave it an old-fashioned feel, which I really love! I’ll sometimes edit my photos to have this kind of aesthetic, but doing this without editing was cool. I had a ton of fun with this photo, I love capturing moments with people and I’m very proud of how it turned out!
