This week’s prompt was to create a powerful landscape using negative space! This is a photo I took in Japan of Mt. Fuji through the window of a train. I thought the dark land beneath the horizon and the brighter sky created a very pretty contrast. Both are sort of negative space as well, although the sky maybe more so. Still, it’s very simple because of that which I like! I also chose this photo because I love the complementary blue and orange in the sky, as well as the dusty shadow the mountain casts into the sky from the setting sun. Overall, the simplicity brings out a lot of little details, which was the goal – for that reason, I’m very proud of this picture!
