Sara Twiggs

From 2020-2022, I was a Film student at Freestyle Academy. I love any form of art I can get my hands on, but I have a soft spot for writing. Second has to be music, though. I only know the basics of piano, guitar, and ukulele, but I love to play whenever possible. My work tends to be a mixture of dramatic and comedic. I’m obsessed with the absurd and the weird, like Douglas Adams’ The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Freestyle has encouraged me to face intimidating projects head on. It has shown me that I am capable of doing these things. And with this knowledge in hand, I will continue to take on these immense projects that used to seem impossible, or for other people. Freestyle has made me realize that I am the type of person who can create something amazing.

The Freestyle community has also been invaluable to me. From my fellow Film students to everyone in my English and Digital Media classes, I feel that I have formed a close bond with each of them. There is no better way to know a person than through their art, and it was amazing to see what each person created.

I will never forget the people I have met and the things I have created at Freestyle Academy.
