Since this is my last photoblog, I wanted to take a photo that represented the end of my freestyle education. Im not exactly sure what my future is going to look like but right now I know that I am going to leave freestyle with so much new knowledge and an idea of what my future job could possibly be. I took a photo of my friend leaving the old Freestyle campus to represent us moving to a brand new campus and then leaving Freestyle to go on to bigger things.

This prompt of food reminded me of eating snacks with my friends, at freestyle specifically. In my elective class, my classmates and I have a box of snacks that gives us a brain break and time to talk and connect with each other. This little box in the back of the classroom was able to connect all of us and become as close as we are today. The picture above is of my friend Mahaut eating some of the snacks from our snack box.

For current events, I thought back to the recent tropical storm that hit our area recently. There was constant rain an the winds got up to 50 mph. During that storm, a large oak tree fell in my backyard narrowly missing my house. I wanted to make this a current event because even though it happened weeks ago it’s still present and affecting me to this day. But at least my cat is enjoying it!

To me when I think of music I think of driving around with my friends. A way that my friends and I connect is by listening to music we like together. I took this photo when my friends and I visited LA over a recent weekend. We had the windows rolled down and blasted music. All in all, my friends and driving around will always remind me of music and all of the cool places I’ve been.

Currently I am unemployed but something I love working on is creating delicious food and dishes that I can share with my friends and family. Making food like this gives me the chance to learn about different places and cultures and helps me connect to others on another level. Working to create food like this in my free time gives me the opportunity to learn and connect.

Water is one of the most powerful elements out there. It can be beautiful yet dangerous. I took this when I went up to Santa Cruz for the day to watch the sunset. I loved watching how the water could go from calm to crashing in just a second.

One thing I am grateful for is Christmas and the holiday season. During this time I’m able to get a break from school and visit my friends and family who I haven’t seen in a while. I’m so grateful that during this time I’m able to reconnect with my loved ones and get a chance to connect with myself as well. In this photo, I included a picture of my Christmas tree that my family and I cut down this year. In the foreground of the photo is my cat. I included him because I am also very grateful to have him in my life.

I thought a lot about this prompt. There are a lot of people who inspire me, but my friends by far have inspired me the most. They are outgoing, open minded, and kind. I look up to all of my friends because they all have very inspirational characteristics. In this photo, I waned to get a silhouette of my friends talking on my bed. I wanted the foreground to be dark and the background to be lighter.

For this prompt I wanted to highlight one of my more positive habits instead of focusing on the negative ones. This habit is driving around, weather its with friends or by myself. When I feel stressed, overwhelmed, or i just want to get away for a bit Ill go on a drive. Not only does this help be connect with my friends and myself more, but im also able to explore and find new areas. Driving is one of my favorite things to do, its a great habit.

This photo is of my coworker opening the front door. Working at Baskin Robbins is my first real job. I chose this photo to represent exit because even when I leave for college, I will always remember the skills this job has taught me. This job has opening a door to adulthood to me. Even when I leave, I will remember this job and my amazing coworkers.
