    Work

For this photo, I was inspired by the work ethic of my mother during the quarantine. She set up a station filled with her textbooks and documents all for herself to maintain optimal efficiency. I drew inspiration from this and wanted to capture the dedication and hardwork of my mother.

    Future

What I love about the future is how it’s shaped. It’s shaped by individuals with dreams and passion and molded by hardworkers. I wanted to show that in this image where the sea itself is shaped and formed by the individual organisms and plant life that lives there in addition to the waves that shape the rocks and the sand.

    Frame Within the Frame

For this challenge we had to frame a subject using something that wasn’t an actual picture frame. For this, I chose this rock formation built by someone else I found on the beach. It represents the connection between something man-made and natural because both have effects on the other and that man-made creations rely on nature for its materials.

    Self-Portrait

For this photo, I took the concept of a self-portrait and made it more abstract. I wanted to demonstrate in this photo the feeling of being so old yet so young. Freestyle has taught me a lot of things and I’ve grown from it. I feel so much older and more experienced as a result of Freestyle.

    Food

For this photo, I thought it’d be interesting to show a modified version of a before and after. I included the final result of my cooking, the friend rice with beef, and surrounded it with the ingredients I also used to make the food.

    Using Props

In this photo I wanted to capture the world through a different lens. Looking through the world with a different perspective will widen your knowledge and make you a more well-rounded person which is what I wanted to convey through this photo.

    Storms

In this photo I wanted to demonstrate the wonders of nature and the wonders of the weather. Though it’s hard to see the rain falling, the rain falling behind the leaves shows us the beauty of nature as the world provides for the plants that inhabit this world.

    Deadly Sins

This image in its literal sense is the sin of gluttony, where the most convenient foods are stacked and lined for quick and easy consumption. However, I also intended this to be in equal parts the sin of sloth, where all these easy and convenient foods support a sedentary and lazy lifestyle and eating habits.
